Cheating Cheetahs ?!?!

Are these cheetahs trying to cheat the nature?! That is the only explanation I have to the story I received today in the email from my mother-in-law who lives in South Africa.

Have you ever seen anything like this???

Here is the story:

 
"The Law Of The Wild says kill ONLY when you are hungry.
     
Photographer  Michel Denis-Huot, who captured these amazing pictures on safari in Kenya 's Masai Mara  in October last year, said he was astounded by what he saw:

"These three brothers (cheetahs) have been living together since they left their mother at  bout 18 months old,' he said.
'On the morning we saw them, they seemed not to be hungry, walking quickly but stopping sometimes to play  together.
'At one point, they met a group of impala who ran away. But one youngster was not quick enough and the brothers caught it easily'."

These  extraordinary scenes followed.

Juice from South Africa

Last week I remembered to buy some South African juice again. It is not widely available here, so I am not reminded of it often. I have to go and get it in specific stores, last time it was at World Market.

The brand is called CERES after The Ceres Valley in the Western Cape, South Africa (where my husband comes from), made by Ceres Fruit Juices.

I like the juices because of the variety and the quality: no added sugar, no artificial colours, no preservatives. My favourite flavours are Litchi, Passion Fruit and Papaya. It is probably because I like it also as fruit.

South African nation is mourning Madiba

It was a sad day for South Africa and the world yesterday, when the death of Nelson Mandela was announced. There is no one news channel or newspaper that wouldn't talk about this extraordinary man.

I am married to a South African and have visited this beautiful country a couple of times, so it is especially touching for me.
